Railway Crossing Renovation in Łódź Using EPUISORAIL Technology.
The double-track crossing, measuring over 70 meters in length, was renovated using modern prefabricated track slabs that allow for faster installation and more even track alignment. Special vibration-damping mats were installed beneath the slabs to reduce the transmission of vibrations generated by passing trams—both to the structure itself and to the surrounding area. This solution is particularly important in urban environments, where traffic intensity can be high.
In total, more than 400 m² of vibration-damping mats and over 5 tonnes of resin were used to complete the crossing, making the new installation not only more durable but also quieter and more comfortable for everyday use.
