Track renovation near Kraków’s Planty Park using Epufloor vibration insulation mats
In the center of Kraków, the reconstruction of the tram track is underway, covering Straszewskiego Street on the section from Smoleńsk Street to Piłsudskiego Street, and Piłsudskiego Street on the section from Straszewskiego Street to the “Uniwersytet Jagielloński” platform. This is a key part of the city’s transport infrastructure, located in the immediate vicinity of Planty Park and the Collegium Novum of the Jagiellonian University - an area of particular historical and urban significance.

As part of the project, Epufloor is supplying Eputrack 600/20 vibration isolation mats, which will be installed under prefabricated track slabs and a prefabricated turnout. The total area of the mats amounts to 1,979 m². The implementation of this solution will effectively reduce the transmission of vibrations from the track to building structures and the surrounding ground, ensuring acoustic comfort in the very center of the city.

The solution used in this project highlights the importance of applying modern technologies in areas of high historical value. Epufloor mats confirm their effectiveness and flexibility in projects with particularly demanding technical requirements.

The general contractor for the project is SPAW-TOR, to whom we extend our thanks for placing their trust in our products.
