Vibro-acoustic and electrical insulation of rails

Insulating rail webchamber filler profiles are designed for use in railway surfaces (rail, tram, metro) with ballasted and ballastless construction, to reduce dynamic impacts from rail vehicle traffic on the surroundings of their routes. The reduction of impacts concerns vibrations (material vibrations) and noise – primarily so-called secondary noise emitted by vibration-excited elements of building structures and engineering objects. Rail profiles also serve as electrical insulators, protecting against the influence of stray currents.
