Koszalin’s football pitch receives FIFA Quality Pro certification. International confirmation of the surface quality.

The football pitch in Koszalin is an investment that attracted attention from the moment it opened thanks to its scale and high construction standards. Covering an area of 6,400 m², the facility was developed as a modern training venue designed to meet the growing needs of local sport. Today, it gains even greater significance, as the surface installed there has received the FIFA Quality Pro certification. It is also the first pitch in Poland with cork infill to obtain FIFA Quality Pro certification, featuring a surface supplied by Epufloor. Cork infill, based on a natural and fully renewable raw material, is an environmentally friendly solution that also ensures durability and long-term performance of the surface.

This distinction is awarded exclusively to pitches that successfully pass a detailed verification process covering both laboratory testing and on-site assessments. Among the parameters evaluated are ball rebound, shock absorption, traction, and the surface’s performance under intensive use. In practice, this means that the pitch meets the requirements set for facilities used in professional sport.

In Koszalin, the CCGrass Pmax 48-B2 Cork SP artificial turf system, supplied by Epufloor, was installed together with a 12 mm Regalfill shockpad layer. This combination provides playing comfort comparable to natural grass while maintaining high durability and resistance to changing weather conditions. This is particularly important for facilities that are intensively used throughout the year.

Obtaining the FIFA Quality Pro certification is not merely a formality, but a genuine confirmation of the quality of workmanship and the technologies applied. For players, it means predictable ball behaviour and stable playing conditions, while for facility managers it provides greater confidence that the surface will maintain its properties over the long term.

The Koszalin football pitch is also another facility in Poland where a surface supplied by Epufloor has received FIFA certification in recent months. Within the past six months, this is the fourth such project, including the third to achieve the highest FIFA Quality Pro level.
