The new pitch at Niemcewicza Street is nearly ready. An advanced sports surface by Epufloor is in the final stage of completion.

Works on the pitch at Niemcewicza Street are entering the final stage of implementation. The new sports infrastructure has been equipped with a synthetic turf surface with a fiber height of 45 mm, installed on a prefabricated shock-absorbing mat with a thickness of 10 mm. The applied surface system is designed to ensure optimal playing parameters and long-term functionality of the facility.

The sports turf was supplied by Epufloor, a company specializing in surface solutions for sports facilities. The project uses synthetic turf based on a technology that combines two types of fibers within a single tuft: monofilament and fibrillated fibers. This solution provides an optimal balance between playability and system stability.

Monofilament fibers are responsible for proper performance characteristics, including elasticity and a natural feel during play, while fibrillated fibers stabilize the infill and limit granulate migration. In practice, this results in an even distribution of infill across the entire pitch surface, improving both aesthetics and the maintenance of consistent technical parameters.

Reducing granulate displacement also means less material being carried outside the playing area, which can contribute to lower maintenance costs and less frequent need for infill replenishment. The surface features a high density of over 130,000 fibers per square meter, enhancing durability and user comfort.

Combined with the shock-absorbing mat, the system provides adequate energy absorption, stability, and safety during intensive use. The development of the pitch at Niemcewicza Street reflects the broader trend of modernizing local sports infrastructure, with a strong focus on material durability, reduced maintenance costs, and high-quality user experience.
