Machine Vibration Isolation
Acoustic insulation and vibration isolation of rooms
Epufloor specializes in acoustic insulation and vibration isolation of rooms and industrial machines. We offer a wide range of solutions for effective noise and vibration dampening generated by working machines, engines, technological equipment, presses and other industrial processes. Mechanical vibrations can negatively affect both building structure and the health and comfort of people in the vicinity. Properly designed vibration isolation effectively limits their transfer and meets applicable acoustic standards. For vibration dampening we use elastomeric materials such as rubber, polyurethane or cork, available in various thicknesses and densities, individually selected for the mass and characteristics of the isolated equipment. For more demanding applications we also use spring systems, which work excellently with machines at low excitation frequencies.

Machine vibration isolation
Industrial equipment generates vibrations during operation which, without proper protection, can penetrate the building structure and cause disturbing noise. The most effective solution is to apply vibration isolation between the machine and the substrate. Depending on the equipment parameters and its mounting method, we use:
- floating floors and floating machine foundations,
- vibro-acoustic pads made of elastomers or springs,
- vibro-acoustic hangers enabling elastic suspension of machines under the ceiling.
Selecting the appropriate system effectively limits vibration transfer without affecting the stability and operation of the equipment.
Vibration isolation selection parameters
For vibration isolation to be effective, analysis of three basic parameters is necessary:
Excitation frequency – most often corresponds to the lowest engine rotational speed. The lower it is, the higher the requirements for dampening effectiveness.
Machine mass including foundation – determines the type and load capacity of the vibration isolation elements used.
Dimensions and equipment positioning – even weight distribution and proper arrangement of support points are essential.
Only after analyzing this data is it possible to design an effective vibration isolation system. Properly selected solutions achieve vibration dampening effectiveness exceeding 95%, without negatively affecting the operation and functionality of the machine.

More information
All vibration-generating equipment requires isolation: cooling aggregates, compressors, fans, pumps, industrial washing machines, production machinery. Vibrations transferred to building structure cause secondary noise in distant rooms.
Leave the installation to specialists
Even the best acoustic insulation will not fulfil its role if improperly installed. In acoustics, precision of execution is key — minor errors or gaps can significantly reduce the effectiveness of the entire system. Therefore, it is worth entrusting acoustic insulation installation to experienced specialists. We approach each project individually, as every building differs in construction, purpose and technical conditions. On this basis, we select the optimal solution, tailored to the area, room function and expected acoustic effect. We also offer the possibility of an earlier visit to the investment site and performing simulations using test pallets. This allows precise selection of materials and technology, thereby guaranteeing the best possible end result.
