Quieter railway on modernized lines in south-eastern Poland. Vibration insulation solutions are being implemented.

The project includes comprehensive infrastructure works on an important transport corridor in south-eastern Poland. The general contractor for the investment is Swietelsky Rail Polska, and one of the key elements of the project is the implementation of solutions designed to improve railway line operating comfort and reduce the impact of rail transport on the surrounding environment.

Among them are Epufloor Eputrack UBM/SBM vibration insulation mats in the 500/15 and 500/20 variants. In total, the delivery of more than 31,000 m² of material is planned, including 4,068 m² of 15 mm mats and 27,360 m² of 20 mm mats. Deliveries will take place between March and July 2026.

The first batch of material was delivered on 26 March 2026, and its installation was completed at the end of last week. The applied solutions are intended to reduce vibrations transmitted from the track to the ground and limit noise emissions, which is particularly important on sections running close to urbanized areas.

Vibration insulation solutions are increasingly becoming a standard element of this type of investment. In the project in question, the mats supplied by Epufloor help reduce the impact of rail transport on the surrounding environment, especially in built-up areas. Their application supports track durability by reducing dynamic loads, while also improving the comfort of areas located in the immediate vicinity of the railway line.

The entire investment covers the modernization of railway lines with a total length of approximately 66 km. The scope of works includes, among other things, the reconstruction of tracks, overhead traction systems and engineering structures, as well as the modernization of stations and the construction of new platforms. Completion of the project is planned for the second quarter of 2027, with the investment expected to shorten travel times, increase line capacity, and improve safety and travel comfort.
